What is AppFundr?

AppFundr is a simple fundraiser board tool. Create a numbered ticket board, share one unique link with buyers, and track reservations and payments — all in one place.

Ticket Boards

Create a board with your chosen number of tickets, price per ticket, and your bank account payment details.

One Shareable Link

Each board gets a unique public link. Share it anywhere — WhatsApp, Facebook, email — no account required for buyers.

Live Tracking

See in real time which tickets are available, reserved, or paid. No spreadsheets needed.

Bank Transfer Payments

Buyers see your bank account details after choosing a ticket and pay by direct bank transfer.

Multiple Admins

Add co-admins to help manage the board, mark tickets as paid, and keep things organised.

Board Controls

Open or close your board at any time. A closed board prevents new reservations until you reopen it.

Board Credits

Your first active fundraiser board is free for up to 25 tickets. After that, credits are purchased in advance and sit on your account until you use them.

How credits work

You can use your first active fundraiser board for free with up to 25 tickets. Once that board is active, you will need credits to add more than 1 fundraiser board, and you will also need credits if you want a board with more than 25 tickets. Unused credits never expire and accumulate on your account. Once credits are used on a board, they are consumed.

1

Sign in to your AppFundr account

You need to be signed in before purchasing credits or creating boards.

2

Open the Board Credit section

On the main page, scroll to the Board Credit section. Enter the number of credits you want and click Checkout.

3

Complete payment via Stripe

You will be taken to a secure Stripe checkout page. Enter your card details and confirm the payment.

4

Credits are added instantly

After a successful payment you will be returned to AppFundr with your credits ready to use.

Tip: You can fill out your entire board form before purchasing a credit. If you click Create Board without a credit, a purchase screen appears automatically so you can buy one without losing your form data.

Creating a Board

Fill in your board details and click Create Board. You need at least one credit to publish a board.

Board fields

  • Board title — Give your fundraiser a clear name, e.g. "School Raffle May 2025".
  • Total tickets — The number of numbered tickets on the board (1–5000).
  • Ticket price — Price per ticket in NZD.
  • Description — Optional details about the fundraiser, prizes, or draw date.
  • Seller name, phone & email — Your contact details shown to buyers.
  • Bank account name & number — Where buyers send payment.

After creation

Once created, your board gets a unique public link. The board starts active immediately — tickets are available for buyers to reserve straight away. Copy and share the link from your board management panel.

Tip: You can edit the board title, description, ticket count, price, and payment details at any time from the management panel.

Sharing Your Board

Every board has a unique public share link. Anyone with the link can view available tickets and reserve one — no AppFundr account required.

Sharing the board link

  • Open your board from the management panel.
  • Click Copy link to copy the URL to your clipboard.
  • Paste the link into WhatsApp, Facebook, SMS, email, or anywhere you reach your buyers.
  • Buyers open the link and choose any available ticket.

Payment instruction sharing

After a buyer reserves a ticket they are shown a Payment Instructions panel with your bank account name, number, and the amount to pay. The Share payment details button lets them send all payment info to themselves or to you via their device's share sheet or clipboard.

How Tickets Work

Each ticket on a board has one of three statuses at any given time.

Available Reserved Paid

Available

The ticket has not been claimed. Any buyer with the board link can select it and enter their name to reserve it.

Reserved

A buyer has entered their name and reserved the ticket, but payment has not yet been confirmed. The board owner or an admin must mark the ticket as Paid once payment is received in their bank account.

Paid

Payment has been confirmed by the board owner or admin. The ticket is sold and can no longer be changed by buyers.

Buyer tip: You can click on any ticket — even a reserved or paid one — to view its payment details. Useful for checking the bank account number or your reference.

Managing Your Board

Board owners and admins have full control over tickets and board settings from the management panel.

Mark as Paid

Select a reserved ticket and click Mark as Paid once you have received the bank transfer. The ticket turns red to show it is sold.

Reopen a Ticket

Select any reserved or paid ticket and click Reopen Ticket to make it available again.

Edit Board Details

Update bank account info, contact details, description, or total ticket count from the management panel at any time.

Reserve for a Buyer

Select an available ticket and use the Reserve form to enter a buyer's name on their behalf — useful for in-person sales.

Export Board

Download a CSV export of all tickets, buyer names, and statuses for your own records.

Delete Board

Permanently delete a board and all its ticket data from the board settings. This action cannot be undone.

Drawing a Winner

Board owners and admins can draw a winner directly from the board using either the spin wheel or the random picker.

1

Open the Draw Winner panel

From the board management view, open the Draw Winner section. AppFundr automatically includes the ticket numbers that are available on the board for the draw.

2

Choose wheel or picker

Select Spin Wheel to draw from the wheel, or select Random Picker to let AppFundr shuffle through the numbers and stop on a winner.

3

Run the draw

Click Spin Wheel or Start Random Number Generator. When the draw finishes, the winning number is shown on screen and saved to the board.

4

Reset if you need to run it again

Use Reset Draw to clear the saved result. This removes the current winner so you can perform a fresh draw.

Spin Wheel

The wheel displays each ticket number as its own segment. When the wheel stops, the pointer indicates the winning segment and the same winning number appears in the centre.

Random Picker

The picker cycles through ticket numbers and then stops on one final number. This is useful if you want a fast number draw without the wheel animation.

Expand the View

Use the expand icon on the wheel or picker to open a larger fullscreen view. This makes the draw easier to see for a group of people.

Close the Bigger View

When the wheel or picker is expanded, use the Close button in the top right to return to the normal board view.

Tip: If you are drawing a winner in front of others, expand the wheel or picker first so the result is easier for everyone to watch.

Board Admins

Add co-admins to share the workload of managing a board — marking tickets as paid, handling reservations, and updating details.

What can admins do?

Admins have the same management privileges as the board owner — they can reserve tickets, mark tickets as paid, reopen tickets, and edit contact and payment details.

Adding an admin

  1. Open your board and scroll to the Board Admins panel.
  2. Enter the email address of the person you want to add.
  3. They must have an existing AppFundr account registered with that email.
  4. Click Add Admin — they will have access immediately.
Note: Only the board owner can add or remove admins and control board status (Start/Stop). Admins cannot delete the board.

Board Status (Start & Stop)

The board status controls whether buyers can reserve tickets. Only the board owner can change this.

Active boards

When a board is active, buyers can reserve tickets and all ticket editing is enabled. This is the default state when a board is created.

Closing a board

Click Stop in the board management panel to close the board. When closed:

  • No new ticket reservations can be made.
  • Buyers see a message: "This board is no longer active — please see the owner of this fund board."
  • All ticket editing is disabled for buyers.

Reopening a board

When the board is closed, the Stop button changes to Start. Click it to reactivate the board — reservations are enabled again instantly.
